Ahhhhhh, quiet. Dream is sound asleep upstairs, and the cats are busy doing whatever cats do...napping, eating, while some are racing around like wild banshees. Me? I am sitting here at my computer in my T- shirt and underwear, happily sipping coffee and now writing in my blog. At noon I have to go get my nails done, something Dream got me started on about a two years ago since I chewed mine off before. Now they are lush and lovely and my hands look beautiful. Who wudda thunk it? Not I, this non girly girl.
It has been a busy two weeks of late. First, it was the issue with my knees and whether or not I would have to have surgery on my right knee. Good news though! I don't have to have surgery, but I do have arthritis in my knee cap, and I have to go for physical therapy. I have to get that organized soon and will see how I can fit it in to my schedule, but it's all good. I've avoided doing so because I am lazy and the last time I really worked out on weight training machines (And I looked buff, man!) I injured my knees! But with the arthritis in both kneecaps, and my fibromyalgia issues, I do have to do it. Sooooo, again..it's all good and it's a new start.
Work has been busy as usual, and though I often get irritated by the constant barrage of calls I do love it. My brain needs to be stimulated all the time, so despite the stress load, I enjoy the fact that I am always busy and engaged. It's interesting meeting new people and creating my own network with the movie location people I deal with, and of course, you know I love talking --so that too, is all good.
My niece, her husband and their two young daughters (ages 3 -going on 4, and 14 months) have been visiting. They were here last week while they were driving up from Virginia to Massachusettes for vacation. They stopped here for two nights, and then came back here this past Wednesday night and left yesterday, Friday. Their children are absolutely precious and adorable, so DD and I had the chance to be Aunt and Uncle for a few days. We are exhausted but so fulfilled inside --nothing like having two young kids around. We spoiled them rotten, but then that's what we are supposed to do. We will be seeing them all again in three weeks when we meet them, and my niece's parents (my older brother and sister in law) down in New Jersey. That will be fun! And exhausting!
Beyond that, all is good here...and I am now going to go chill out.
